What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address, display name and country. If you submit work or apply to the Editorial Board, we store the content you send us, including any photo you upload. Editors may optionally add a bio, school and social media links to their public profile.
How we use it
We use your information only to run the society: to let you sign in, review and publish submissions, credit authors by name, show the Editorial Board, and count members and countries represented. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Published articles show the author's display name. Editor profiles are public. Your email address, unpublished submissions and editorial applications are visible only to you and to the editors or administrators who review them. Application photos are stored privately.
Cookies & local storage
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear this storage at any time in your browser settings.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and access to private data is restricted by role on our servers.
Your rights
You can update your profile at any time. To access, correct or delete your account and data, contact us at privacy@meyslp.org and we will respond within 30 days. If you are under 16, please make sure a parent or guardian is aware you are using the site.
Changes
